Middlesex Junior Farmer’s Farmers’ Night Out was a HUGE success!

The Middlesex Junior Farmers held our 3rd Annual Farmers’ Night Out Fundraiser on April 20th, 2024 in Ilderton, ON. Farmers’ Night out is a great time for people to come together, enjoy live music by a local artist, Adam Cousins, bid on silent and live auction items to raise money for a great cause and enjoy a dance to finish off the night. “People of all ages gathering together for an evening of fun, music, and a great cause, organized and executed by Middlesex Jr. Farmers,” Pat Mahon praised. The past 2 years we have raised money for Rural Mental Health Initiatives and were overjoyed with the response from our community in supporting us. For 2024, we switched gears and decided to raise money for the London Regional Cancer centre as we have had community members, friends and family affected, hitting close to home.
Will Johnson, a Junior Farmer member, was our auctioneer. He commented, “It was a great night for a great cause!” He continued, “The Middlesex Junior Farmers hard work to better the community at its best.” Members of the community raved about this fundraiser. Andrea Crump explained, “I had a great time at the Middlesex Junior Farmer Farmers’ Night Out. I enjoyed catching up with friends, some who I hadn’t seen in a long time. I also enjoyed bidding on the wide variety of items at the auction. It was the perfect night – good people, good music and good food.” Brian Sterling mentioned, “Farmers night out was a fun and well-organized event start to finish. It was great to see so much community support towards such a worthy cause!” he continued, “everyone did a great job, we had a lot of fun!”
With over 80 auction items generously donated and roughly 200 attendees, we are thrilled to announce we raised $10,112.42 for the London Regional Cancer Centre. We cannot thank everyone enough for their support in making this happen. Hannah Arnold, another Junior Farmer member exclaimed, “We can’t wait to donate our proceeds knowing it will help friends, family and others in our community.” Margaret Saunders gushed, “It was so much fun! You Young Farmers know how to “get the job done” and we are so proud to know such a dynamic, caring and FUN bunch! Keep up the good work! We will do our best to support your future endeavours!”
